Antispam features
Spam is quickly becoming a big problem and those, who own an SMTP server can easily become victims of spammers. To protect you from spammers, we have built in many levels of protection into the server, like domain verification, authentication and IP address blacklisting. Most of them are automated and do not require any user input to work, however RBL Servers and IP address block will require user input to work.
RBL Servers
Lots of people are looking to exploit public SMTP servers for spamming and we have included most of the standard features to prevent that, like RBL servers for example. Add one or more standard RBL servers to your list and all connection's incoming IP addresses will be checked in real time against their databases. This, alone, will help prevent 95% of all spam even before your server starts processing messages.
Since most of the hackers use hijacked SMTP relays to dump their messages as quickly as possible, it is very useful to check each IP against a dynamic database, that is maintained by other reputable, dedicated organization. Most of such lists are free and are easy to set up and the benefits are tremendous.
IP Address blocking
You can completely block and deny any IP addresses that you want or require most users to authenticate using user name and password if they are not coming from a known IP address.
This feature is very smart and useful. It has many degrees of use and allows you degree of manageability for most typical organizations. For example, you may allow all users from within your office to relay email freely, but ask any users from outside to have a user name and password. This minimizes your deployment costs and increases your ROI.
